Dear St. Cyril Families,

Welcome back from break. As we return, we have so much to look forward to, with the festive Christmas season fast approaching. We’d like to send a big thank you to our parent volunteers that helped with campus decorating last weekend. Thank you to Karen Garcia, Leyla Sanford, Doris Martinez, Altagracia and Antonio Mejia, Tiffanee Mackey, Nikki and Cristian Shum-Harden and Deborah Nicolaou for making campus extra festive. Also a big thank you to the Saint Cyril of Jerusalem Foundation for donating our two pre-lit trees that are keeping our outdoor classroom stage magical this year. We can’t wait to see everyone at the tree-lighting and Christmas boutique this Thursday evening at the outdoor classroom. Get some of your Christmas shopping done, visit Santa Claus and hear live Christmas music from the SCJ parent band the Clipdowns! Exciting events and celebrations are just around the corner!

CHRISTMAS MARKET & TREE LIGHTING CELEBRATION
Thursday, December 4th – 5:30–7:30PM

Step into the magic of the season at our SCJ Holiday Celebration!

Join us on Thursday, December 4th from 5:30–7:30 PM for an evening filled with Christmas cheer and community joy.

Enjoy the sweet sounds of the season with beautiful carols performed by our talented students and let your creativity sparkle at cookie-decorating hosted by the Student Council. Savor delicious bites from Son of a Bun (@eatsonofabun), along with homemade desserts and warm, cozy hot chocolate lovingly prepared by our SCJ families.

Wander through our festive holiday market featuring one-of-a-kind gifts—from wreaths and sparkling jewelry to candles, potpourri, stationery, Valley treasures, and so much more.

Then get ready to dance, sing, and celebrate as The Clip Downs, our very own SCJ Dad Band, takes the stage once again by popular demand!

​​​And of course… keep your eyes peeled for a very special visit from Santa Claus himself—because he wouldn’t miss this magical night for anything!

SCHOOL MASS – FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
Monday, December 8th – 12:00PM

Join us on Monday, December 8th at 12:00 PM as we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, a holy day of obligation. All students are required to wear their formal uniforms—green polos with navy bottoms or plaid skirts/skorts.

Parents are warmly invited to attend this beautiful celebration and share in the joy of our school community. We look forward to seeing you there!

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
Thursday, December 11th – 6:00PM

Our St. Cyril Christmas Program is coming soon! To help everyone prepare, we ask that students come dressed in their “Christmas Best.”

For boys: slacks or khakis with a button-up shirt (tie or bowtie optional) or a polo.
For girls: knee-length or longer dresses, or black dress slacks with a nice blouse.
Suggested colors include black, white, red, green, or gold.

SCJ GIVING TREE TRADITION
NOW through December 8th

As we approach the Christmas season, the time has come again to open our hearts to giving. St. Cyril has been a long-standing partner with St. Cecilia School in Los Angeles for many years. Please help us in donating gifts to the boys and girls of St. Cecilia School once again this Christmas! We encourage you to donate toys and gifts with a value of around $25 and wrap them so they are ready for St. Cecilia students in December. Label the present with the grade and gender it is for and bring your toy donation to the front office no later than December 18th by 8:00am.

SNACK SHACK

The Snack Shack will officially open on Monday 9/15!

**Volunteers Needed!**  (All volunteers must be VIRTUS-trained and fingerprinted). Sign up here: Snack Shack Volunteers

Without enough volunteers, Snack Shack may close. 

Shifts are:  

Snacks and small trinkets are available for purchase, so please send your child with cash if they’d like to shop. Let’s keep the Snack Shack running for the kids!
