SECURITY MATCHING GRANT FUND
Closes Sunday, May 31st
Although the auction has officially ended, Auctria will remain open through May 31st and is still accepting donations for the St. Cyril School Foundation Security Matching Grant Fund.
The Foundation has generously committed to matching all donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,000, specifically for critical campus security improvements. As many of you may have already noticed, some of these enhancements are already underway — including increased security staffing — but there is still a larger fundraising goal of approximately $170,000 needed to fully complete these important upgrades.
We are incredibly grateful that many families have already contributed toward this important initiative, and we thank everyone who has helped support these efforts so far. We encourage those who are still able to give to consider making a donation during this matching opportunity, where every dollar goes twice as far toward helping strengthen the safety and security of our campus for all students, faculty, and families.
Click THIS LINK to donate.
Thank you for your continued generosity and support of St. Cyril of Jerusalem School.

This Friday, May 15th at 12:00PM, our talented kindergartners and seventh graders will take the lead in a joyful, student-led Mass. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see their dedication and spirit shine! All students should wear their formal uniforms—green polos with navy bottoms or plaid skirts/skorts. Parents are warmly invited to join us for this special celebration and share in the excitement of our school community. We can’t wait to see you there!

We invite you to meet with current board members to find out more about the roles and responsibilities of the board. Attending the meeting is not a commitment to apply. The meeting will serve to answer questions and educate for anyone who is thinking of applying to be a board member for the next school year or another time in the future. Save the date and a link will be sent out shortly. Looking forward to seeing the future faces of our SCJ PA board!

ENCINO SPRING CARNIVAL
May 22nd – May 24th

The Encino Spring Carnival is less than two weeks away!
Volunteer Hours: All SCJ parents are required to complete 30 volunteer hours per school year. Are you in need of more hours? As we gear up for our upcoming carnival, we are looking for a few more helping hands to make this event a success. If you are still looking to complete your volunteer hours before the end of the school year, this is a great opportunity! Most of the bar shifts have been filled, but parents have the opportunity to earn 10 volunteer hours by “sponsoring” a ride. Your family name or business will proudly be displayed on the shared sponsorship banner on this year’s ferris wheel! Visit the Sign Up Genius to volunteer. If you are in need of more than 10 hours, please contact us at events@stcyrilschool.org.
Presale Wristbands: Our carnival presale for unlimited ride wristband vouchers is officially underway, and they are going fast! Each unlimited ride wristband is available for only $100. This is the best way to ensure your children can enjoy all the rides throughout the entire carnival weekend.
We only had 250 wristbands available to start, and we sold out of half of them on the first day! Pre-sales will continue Tuesday and Wednesday of this week only while supplies last. You can purchase your vouchers during afternoon carpool. Just look for our ticket table. Don’t miss out on this great deal—once these 250 wristbands are gone, they’re gone, and prices go up at the carnival. Come visit us at the ticket table before Wednesday this week to secure yours!
Important Reminders: Beginning on Tuesday, May 19th, the Ventura parking lot will be closed and carnival rides will begin to be delivered. No one will have access to the Ventura lot during this time. The carpool line will run from the rectory lot on Firmament Avenue through campus to the Haskell Avenue gate. Teachers will be allowed to park on campus; however, parents will not have access to the parking lots that week and will need to park on the street. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience.
During the carnival, there will not be parking in the Firmament lot. Please do NOT park there without permission. We will tow unauthorized vehicles that do not have parking permits. Please note that there will be security in the lot near the Firmament entrance at all times during the event. Parking is available on the streets surrounding St. Cyril. Please be respectful of our neighbors when parking. Carnival attendees can enter the event from the Firmament or the Haskell pedestrian gates, as they will be unlocked. You will not be able to enter from Ventura Blvd. For any additional questions regarding the carnival, please contact us at events@stcyrilschool.org.
