Dear St. Cyril Families,

With only 9 more days left in the school year, things are still busy around campus! This Thursday, we proudly celebrate our graduating 8th grade class as they take the next step in their journey. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and wish them the very best of luck in high school and beyond!

Keeping in our season of gratitude for all those amazing parent volunteers that have helped this year, we want to give a special thanks to two of our teams. First, our Uniform Exchange team — Lauren Goli, Veronica Boyadjian, and Polina Abarca — did an outstanding job this year streamlining the checkout process, organizing and preparing donated uniforms, and helping families quickly find what they needed during sales. They also went above and beyond throughout the year supporting new families joining SCJ mid-year to ensure students had the uniforms they needed to get started. We are so grateful for the time, care, and dedication this team brought to such an important resource for our community.

Next, our Spirit Wear team — Romina Karbali and Leslie Lee — whose creativity and hard work made this year’s spirit wear sales a huge success. From developing new colors and designs to managing ordering, processing, and sales setup, they handled every detail with incredible enthusiasm and organization. Their efforts not only brought fresh new spirit wear to our community, but also helped generate significant fundraising support for the school. We are so thankful for all they contributed this year.

SECURITY MATCHING GRANT FUND
Closes Sunday, May 31st

Although the auction has officially ended, Auctria will remain open through May 31st and is still accepting donations for the St. Cyril School Foundation Security Matching Grant Fund.

The Foundation has generously committed to matching all donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,000, specifically for critical campus security improvements. As many of you may have already noticed, some of these enhancements are already underway — including increased security staffing — but there is still a larger fundraising goal of approximately $170,000 needed to fully complete these important upgrades.

We are incredibly grateful that many families have already contributed toward this important initiative, and we thank everyone who has helped support these efforts so far. We encourage those who are still able to give to consider making a donation during this matching opportunity, where every dollar goes twice as far toward helping strengthen the safety and security of our campus for all students, faculty, and families.

Volunteers Needed!

Join us on May 29th and/or May 30th from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM for our school clean out event! This is one of the last opportunities to earn volunteer hours for the year — and we are offering DOUBLE HOURS for those who participate.

Already completed your required hours for this year? No problem! We can give you a head start on next year’s volunteer hours instead.

FINAL PA MEETING FOR 2025-2026

Our final PA meeting of the year (and for this board) will be held on Monday, June 1st at 7:30PM over Zoom. Please mark your calendars. We will review our projected close-out on finances, discuss plans for raised funds and hopefully have an update on our incoming board. REMINDER – REQUIRED VOLUNTEER HOURS

This is a gentle reminder to please review your volunteer hours in your Gradelink portal. Completion of volunteer hours will close on Tuesday 5/26/2026.  As a friendly reminder, families who have not fulfilled this obligation will be billed through their FACTS account.
