Dear St. Cyril Families,

Our annual Gala was a truly magical evening and a beautiful reflection of what makes our St. Cyril of Jerusalem community so special.

This event simply would not have been possible without the incredible leadership of our Gala Chairs, Remy Smith and Kate Cafaro. In their second year at the helm, Remy and Kate went above and beyond, keeping every detail running seamlessly. Their vision, creativity, and calm leadership brought this evening to life, and we are so grateful they stepped forward (again!) to lead this charge.

A tremendous thank you to our exceptional auction team, led by Keisha Leon, along with Danae Tucker, Albert Biscarra, and Jacqueline Downey. This group did mighty things. A special shout-out to Danae, who spent hours partnering with our teachers to design the beloved student experiences—those one-of-a-kind opportunities our children treasure. We are also deeply grateful to Jen Leung, who worked closely with the auction team bringing the Auctria platform on-line, managed the budget, and facilitated payments with her usual thoughtfulness and precision.

Behind the scenes, so many helped bring this evening together. Thank you to Mrs. Austria for managing finances and tracking volunteer hours, and to Mrs. Blake for coordinating and safeguarding the many auction donations. A special thank you as well to Deborah Nicolaou for organizing our incredible volunteers—your work ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. And to Mrs. Pugliese, thank you for your continued support, leadership and guidance throughout.

We are incredibly grateful to our generous sponsors; Dr. Lakey and Beverly Hills Cosmeceuticals, the St. Cyril of Jerusalem Foundation, and to Notre Dame High School for their support of this year’s event. This amazing evening would not have been possible without your support.

And what a night it was! Teachers out on the dance floor, parents reconnecting, and a crowd that kept the energy going strong until the very end. It was a true celebration of this community.

Thanks to your generosity, we have raised $41,586 so far—with our Second Chance Auction open through May 2nd. There is still time to bid, participate, and help us grow that total even further.

Our special security matching donation drive has brought in $1,550 so far which our generous St. Cyril Foundation has agreed to match. We will keep this donation portal open during our second chance auction to see if we build off this fantastic momentum. Remember you can donate Here.

Behind events like this is a dedicated Parent Association Board, and as our current board prepares to step down, we are urgently seeking parents to step into these vital roles. We cannot continue to host events like this and provide these opportunities for our children without new volunteers stepping forward.

We know it can feel like a big commitment. But the truth is, this is not a solo role—it’s a team effort. As we watched the splashdown of the Artemis II lunar mission off our coast earlier this month, it was evident that no mission succeeds without a strong crew. The same is true here. You will be supported, you will share the load, and you will be part of something incredibly meaningful.

If you have ever considered getting involved, even for a moment – this is your moment. We need you. Our community needs you.

Finally, to all of our families; thank you. Thank you for showing up, for giving generously, and for making this night such a success. This is what community looks like.
