Dear St. Cyril Families,

We would love for you to join us at our PA Meeting THIS FRIDAY, February 20th, from 6:00–8:00 PM in the SCJ Hall! We have lots to share as we look ahead to an exciting Spring filled with special events and plans for our school community, and we truly value having you there.

Dinner and childcare will be provided, so it’s an easy night to come out and connect. Be sure to RSVP using the link below. After the meeting, stay and enjoy some creative fun with a relaxed sip-and-paint activity to close out the evening together.

Tickets are also now on sale for our annual Gala, Champagne Nights & City Lights, taking place in the Stargazer Room at the Sheraton Universal Hotel. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and such a fun night for our community — featuring a live and silent auction, DJ and dancing, casino tables, and a few extra surprises!

Parent Association 2025-2026 Weekly Update

February 16-20, 2026

ASH WEDNESDAY – ALL SCHOOL MASS  
Wednesday, February 18th 12:00PM

This Wednesday, February 18th at 12:00PM, our talented teachers will take the lead in a joyful, student-led Mass. All students should wear their formal uniforms—green polos with navy bottoms or plaid skirts/skorts. Parents are warmly invited to join us for this special celebration and share in the excitement of our school community. We can’t wait to see you there!

(Cancelled) WINTER PA MEETING
Friday, February 20th – 5:30PM – 8:00PM | Parish Hall

We’ll gather in the Parish Hall for a lenten dinner, followed by our meeting and a night of family fun. The meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 PM in the hall, with childcare available in the after-school bungalow. At 7:00 PM, children will rejoin their parents for a family paint night! Predrawn canvases and paints will be provided, making it easy and fun for everyone to participate. If you’d like to bring a smock/apron or extra paints and brushes please do! We’re looking forward to an enjoyable evening filled with creativity, laughter, and a few fun activities and prizes along the way.  Please RSVP using THIS LINK by Wednesday, February 18th!

SCJ SPRING GALA – CHAMPAGNE NIGHTS & CITY LIGHTS

We’re thrilled to announce our 2026 Spring Gala – Champagne Nights & City Lights! The Sheraton Universal Starview Room has been secured for this unforgettable evening. Guests will enjoy a plated dinner, cash bar, and dancing, all while taking in breathtaking 360-degree views of the Hollywood Hills and beyond. The evening will also feature casino tables with a $25 chip buy-in*. The individual with the most chips at the end of the night wins a gift basket! Our fantastic silent auction will also be back with opportunities for our kids to enjoy special teacher outings and experiences plus campus naming rights and reserved parking spaces. A special live auction will take place at the event.

Mark your calendars! The 2026 SCJ Gala is happening Friday, April 17, 2026, and we need your help to make it our most impactful fundraiser yet. This year’s gala proceeds will go toward upgrading the playground.

You can make a difference by donating items to our Auction! All donations are tax‑deductible, and every contribution helps fund these important projects.

REMINDER – REQUIRED VOLUNTEER HOURS

This is a gentle reminder to please review your volunteer hours in your Gradelink portal.

If you notice any missing hours or have questions, please contact Deborah Nicolaou at scjpavolunteercord@stcyrilschool.org.

Please note that the fulfillment deadline for 8th grade parents is April 30, 2026. Any unfulfilled volunteer hours after this date will be billed to your FACTS tuition account.

The Snack Shack will officially open on Monday 9/15!
