BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS

October 3 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

In the Roman Catholic tradition, October 4 marks the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis is remembered for his deep love for creation, especially animals, and is honored as the patron saint of animals and the environment.

To celebrate, please join us in the outdoor classroom for this special and beloved tradition! All pets are welcome to receive a blessing from Fr. Danny.

To ensure a safe and joyful experience for everyone:

  • All pets must be secured — whether in carriers, on leashes, or in another appropriate way (such as cages or tanks for birds and reptiles).
  • Please bring any supplies needed to clean up after your pet.
  • For the comfort of all, we kindly ask that pets who experience high anxiety around other animals, people, or large crowds remain at home.

If your pet is shy, unpredictable, or has passed away, you are warmly invited to bring a photo to be blessed instead.

We look forward to sharing this meaningful celebration with you and your furry, feathered, or scaly friends!
